About me
My name is Maja Jovanovic. I was born in a beautiful city of Belgrade in 1977, so I am a native Serbian speaker. In February 2000 I moved to Paris and spent 12 exciting years in the city of light. Seven years ago, I decided to fulfill one of my childhood dreams – to live by the sea. Since then, I’ve been living in Sète, a charming little town on the French Mediterranean coast known as the Venice of Languedoc.
I obtained the Certificate of Proficiency in English in 1998, I graduated in French language and literature from the University of Belgrade in 2004 and from INALCO (Institut National des Langues et Civilisations Orientales) in Paris in 2005. I also specialized in finance, international affairs, management, marketing, and international trade at ESIT (École Supérieure d’Interprètes et de Traducteurs) in Paris.
I’ve been working as a freelance translator since 2004 and I collaborate with many translation agencies on a regular bases.
